I am hoping someone can help me with this issue. I have inserted a video clip mp4 into a slide in a Powerpoint office for mac presentation. When I first insert the clip, it successfully plays. However, once I save the entire presentation as a ppt or pptx file, and then re-open the file, the video no longer plays. The play bar no longer shows when I mouse over the bottom of the video embedded in the slide.

I have another related question. When I insert the video file into the powerpoint slide it does not automatically size to fit the slide. Since there is identifying pre-printed info on the slide template above and below the video, I must right-size the video clip so as not to obscure this information. Is there any easy, more automatic way to do this or must I manually push and drag the clip to fit within the borders of slide template for each slide containing video?

There's no control in the program. The media file is inserted at whatever it has been saved to be unless it is inserted into a Placeholder. You might consider creating a Layout Master that has a pre-sized Media Placeholder properly positioned.
